Longwood’s Iconic Papa Bees to Relocate

Papa Bees, the Longwood chicken wing institution, is moving

Since 1986, Papa Bees has been a beloved spot for chicken wing enthusiasts and Buffalo Bills supporters alike. The establishment, founded by the Burke brothers — Joe, Mike, Jerry, and Kevin — and named to honor their father, Bernard Burke, is relocating from its longtime address at 480 S. Ronald Reagan Blvd.

The esteemed wing institution will now occupy a larger venue at 190 S. Ronald Reagan Blvd, a space recently left vacant by Holy City Zoo BBQ, which lasted only 40 days in operation. Originally starting on Curry Ford Road, Papa Bees evolved into a suburban staple, inspired by recipes from the famed Anchor Bar in Buffalo, NY. Under current owner Lorie Hamm, who took control in 2009, Papa Bees has expanded its menu to include 22 unique house sauces. The new location will open at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 29, coinciding with the closure of their previous site.
