Three young men were arrested in connection to a hazardous online challenge that left one of them seriously injured on a busy road in Ocala. The individuals, identified by Ocala police as 20-year-old Christopher Coleman, 19-year-old Andrew Costa-De Souza, and 18-year-old Ruben Rodriguez, were involved in an incident on September 27 around 8 p.m.

According to police reports, the group took a chair from a nearby restaurant and set it in the middle of SW College Road. Rodriguez sat in the chair while Costa-De Souza attempted to cut his hair, with Coleman recording the event. During this unsafe act, a traffic crash caused a pickup truck to swerve, hitting Rodriguez, who was positioned with his back to oncoming cars. While Coleman and Costa-De Souza were able to escape, Rodriguez sustained severe injuries. Each individual faces charges for unlawful assembly and the dangerous use of public rights-of-way, with Costa-De Souza being apprehended upon returning to Orlando International Airport.
