The classic PeopleMover at Magic Kingdom, beloved by many, might undergo a substantial overhaul with advancements in technological innovations. A new PeopleMover system is scheduled to debut in November, which could lead Disney World to make tough choices regarding the future of the attraction in favor of more contemporary developments.
Maurer Rides is set to introduce its new passenger transport system, dubbed SPIKE® Peoplemover (PM360), at the upcoming IAAPA Expo 2026 in Orlando. This new technology promises smooth, quiet rides with zero emissions, and each cabin maintains an upright position even on inclined tracks. The announcement also indicates potential applications of this system extending beyond Disney’s current offerings; however, no specific project has been confirmed by Disney yet that would integrate this new technology.

Somethings must change. But getting rid if people mover? It’s timeless and a relaxing ride and at night everything is lit up. But going to make a Cars land which came out 20 years ago and last ine was 19 years ago. It’s a business, gotta make money. But I haven’t spent money there in 6 years and won’t. The Magic left.
