Temperatures across Central Florida were notably elevated on Friday, but a significant fall front is anticipated to move in on Saturday. The weather will remain humid and warm overnight into the weekend, with windy conditions expected, especially by Sunday.
As the cold front passes, wind gusts are projected to reach between 20 to 40 mph on Saturday, particularly during midday, afternoon, and evening hours. Showers may occur Saturday morning and into the early afternoon, with mostly cloudy skies and limited sunshine throughout the day. A gale warning will be effective from Saturday morning until Sunday evening due to the increase in winds. Gusts on Sunday could reach 25 to 45 mph, especially along the coast, with some isolated gusts potentially hitting 50 mph at beaches. Dangerous surf conditions with waves of 10 to 15 feet are expected, prompting officials to advise beachgoers to stay out of the water.
As the weekend progresses, temperatures will drop significantly, with highs shifting into the upper 70s and low 80s, which is below the seasonal average. Looking ahead, there is a small chance of pop-up sprinkles daily next week, but no major rainfall is forecasted. Daily winds of 15 to 30 mph will persist, contributing to rough beach conditions and possible erosion. Mostly sunny weather is expected from Monday through Friday, along with low chances of rain. Additionally, no tropical activity is anticipated in the upcoming week, as the hurricane season continues until November 30.
