EPCOT’s Germany Pavilion Loses Pretzel and Beer Cart

Disney World Removes Germany Pavilion Location at EPCOT Theme Park

Those who stroll through EPCOT’s World Showcase are familiar with the enticing aroma of warm dough as they approach the Germany pavilion, often leading them to indulge in a giant pretzel. However, this week, guests have discovered that the well-known pretzel and beer cart is no longer in its usual location.

The absence of the cart raises questions amid ongoing refurbishments at Walt Disney World. While other parks have garnered attention with major projects, the Germany pavilion has been quietly undergoing changes, including the closure of the Volkskunst merchandise shop and temporary shutdowns at Der Teddybär. The exact reason for the cart’s removal hasn’t been communicated by Disney, leaving guests speculating.

Annual Passholders on social media have suggested that the cart may have been cleared for safety reasons ahead of the EPCOT Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend taking place from October 22 to 24. One individual noted that the removal could prevent hazards on the race path, though this theory remains unconfirmed. While some visitors express hope for the cart’s return, others are disappointed, with fans referring to it affectionately as the ‘carb cart.’ Fortunately, alternatives for pretzel lovers remain at the nearby German Bier Stand and Sommerfest.

In Epcpt I go for the pretzels and a mango margarita in Mexico. At MK it has to be a Dole Whip.
