Mecatos Bakery & Cafe Opens in Winter Park; Japanese UniMart Now Operating in Mills Market

Mecatos Bakery & Cafe is now welcoming customers at 610 W. Morse Blvd. in Winter Park, occupying the space that was previously home to The Coop. The café features a diverse menu rich in Colombian offerings, including pastries, cakes, breads, sandwiches, and savory items such as empanadas and arepas. Notably, it will also provide on-site coffee roasting using beans imported from Colombia.

In addition to Mecatos, UniMart has opened within Mills Market, providing a selection of quick Japanese eats. The store, founded by William Shen, includes items like bento boxes, sushi boxes, and prepared meals, along with fried chicken and various snacks. Other eateries making their debut include Ariana Kabab, Gentry’s BBQ, and Sushi Yama, contributing to the growing culinary scene in the Orlando area.
