The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) reports the arrest of a man from Orlando accused of posting threatening messages directed at a Jewish community. On October 19, FDLE agents in Fort Myers were informed about the threats, which included images depicting the location of the Jewish community in Glades County along with a firearm.

Officials identified 31-year-old Jerry Sneed as the individual behind these posts. He was taken into custody on October 28 and is currently housed in the Orange County Jail. At the time of his arrest, Sneed possessed the firearm depicted in his social media messages. He faces multiple charges, including making written or electronic threats to cause injury or an act of terrorism, as well as unlawful use of a two-way communication device. The prosecution will occur in Glades County, although the timeline for his extradition remains unclear. The specifics of the threatening messages have not been disclosed.
